Travis Robertson – Myotherapist

Over the course of his career, Travis has worked in multiple facets of private practice and treated clients from many different activity/sports settings.

Being from a professional ballet and dance background, he has not only worked closely with dancers and musicians, but his practice has also seen him work with Soccer, AFL, Futsal, and
some competitive martial artists.

Due to the nature of his former profession, Travis’ understanding and application of strength and mobility begins with a strong base, literally, and he likes to incorporate balance and proprioception for this base where applicable, as body awareness is an important part of strength and rehabilitation.

In terms of biomechanics and rehabilitation, regardless of the area of the body, Travis like to try and see the deficit as it relates to areas of high mobility, like the ankle, hips, upper back, or shoulders and tries to incorporate rotation into a program, as this movement is often left out.
Travis likes to find engaging ways of making clients responsible for their gains and goals.

He is also an avid climber, with a particular grip on bouldering, and has treated many of his fellow climbers as he is able to understand their concerns, needs, and goals.

Alexei – Myotherapist

Alexei has a passion for helping people with a range of musculoskeletal issues, incorporating a thorough physical assessment to guide treatment, and has a special interest in shoulder problems due to his personal experience with multiple shoulder dislocations in his early 20s.

Alexei is passionate about weight training and golf, and is an avid fan of martial arts. His own shoulder rehabilitation, as well as back and hip issues, have given him personal insight into the body’s reaction to injury and the benefits of Myotherapy in improving his sporting performance. This experience fuels his passion for helping people with a range of musculoskeletal issues and he gains great satisfaction in helping people improve their own sporting performance or their daily quality of movement.

Alexei graduated from the Southern School of Natural Therapies with a degree in Clinical Myotherapy, gaining a thorough understanding of a range of musculoskeletal conditions and employs a range of treatment modalities in order to assist in the recovery of his patients to a state of pain-free function. Throughout his time helping people, Alexei has become passionate about injury prevention and rehabilitation. In addition to the benefits of manual therapy, Alexei strongly believes in the body’s natural ability to heal in response to physical exercise and therefore also incorporates a patient-specific, and progressive, exercise program
to aid recovery.

Jon Falcao – Remedial Massage Therapist

Jon is a passionate professional about the health industry. Early in his career he completed a Bachelor in Nursing, an area that he worked in for 6 years.

His passion for fitness and his sports background led him to change careers. In 2018 he started his new pathway as a Strength & Conditioning and Gymnastics coach and hasn’t stopped ever since. He was lucky enough to be surrounded by amazing professionals and mentors in areas such as Power Lifting, Olympic Lifting, Strength and Conditioning, and CrossFit.

Practicing several modalities of sports helped him to understand the difference between ‘knowing the path and walking the path’. So it’s easy to relate to his clients’ difficulties on a daily basis.

Allied to that, he completed a Diploma in Remedial Massage to improve his knowledge about rehabilitation and recovery techniques. That undoubtedly enhanced his skills as a coach, leading him to take another step: he is currently halfway through finishing his Advanced Diploma in Myotherapy.

Jon has a holistic approach to his athletes and clients, always pursuing a balance between strength and functionality, injury prevention, and recovery.

Nicole Berry – Remedial Massage Therapist

Nicole is a qualified massage therapist from New Zealand holding a Bachelors Degree in Therapeutic and Sports Massage. She is also undertaking part-time postgrad studies from NZ, working towards her Masters of Applied Health Sciences.  She has previously worked collaboratively within a physiotherapy clinic, as the massage therapist for the clinic. She has also treated the New Zealand Warriors Rugby League team and the Super Rugby Moana Pasifika team. As well as working with professional athletes, she welcomes those who are seeking relief from the aches and pains caused by everyday life, including desk work, physically demanding jobs, mental stress and everything in between.

Nicole has experience in working with a range of clients whether they are seeking relaxation or sports and rehabilitation treatments. She aims to support their wellbeing, recovery and body maintenance through the use of massage and other hands-on techniques. She builds great therapeutic relations with her clients by listening to them and addressing their needs through a holistic approach. Her focus is always client-centred, aiming to provide them with the best possible experience.  As part of her final year of her degree Nicole conducted a research project on the role massage therapy can play in breathing. This is one of her areas of interest and she looks forward to introducing this into her treatments and sharing with her clients.  In her free time Nicole can be found outdoors, the mountains being a favourite spot, whether in the snow or hiking during summer.
